Documents were a workaround for missing technology
Regulated industries organized themselves around documents. The document became the artifact of record, and then the operation became a sequence of people producing, reviewing, and approving them.
This was reasonable. For a century, documents were the only durable substrate for a regulated record. They could be filed, signed, archived, and audited. They were the technology.
The substrate has changed. The document era was not wrong. It is, simply, over.

An operation that thinks as one
In a document-based operation, each function keeps its own version of the truth, in its own format. The same fact is restated in the dossier, the tracker, and an email thread. Every restatement is a chance to diverge.
Structured, connected data is what it takes for the operation to think as one, a single substrate that every area can read and write. If anything changes, the consequences of that change become immediately visible.
Krevyos is that system. Not a better home for documents, but the layer that precedes them, where a document, if needed at all, is generated from the data.

Without the substrate, AI is just a more expensive search bar
The next era will not be built on documents. Aim an agent at an archive of documents and it inherits the divergence or inconsistency because it cannot resolve it. If equivalent data stands in five different versions of a file, there is no way the AI can tell which is the current one. This means that at best, you get an expensive search bar and at worst, fiction delivered with confidence.
AI needs ground truth. A structured, connected substrate is not optional but a prerequisite. Without it, AI is just a pilot. With it, AI is a strategy.
Behind most stalled AI initiatives, the models were not the problem: the bottleneck was underneath them. Build the basis now and spend the next decade inside the AI era. Defer it and spend the next decade watching the companies that did.
